Day 2 Off to school I went

So I was worried that I wouldn’t wake up in time to go to orientation but I woke up on my own at 6:00AM. I went and got coffee with a girl. My outfit of the day and the view this morning.

Then We made our way the 8 blocks to the Holloway Road Tube stop where we then took the tube to Kings Crossing (there is not a 9 and 3/4 there boo) then we got on the circle sub and went to Baker street where we went up from the subway and took a left and walked the 6 blocks to school.

When we got there they went over the fact that there are not really a lot of books to be bought because you learn about fashion from the source and so you need to go explore: Museums’, clubs, people, ect. Learn from the source!

The school its self was amazing. High fashion EVERYWHERE! They have their own photo studio to take professional pictures of their garments!

After orientation I and some girls went to a school supply store then we made our way back to Holloway Road. Then we went to a store called Argos, so I could buy two pillows and a laundry (lien) basket.This store is very odd in how you get your things. First you look them up in a catalog and /or a computer then you write down a nimber on a pice of paper. Then you go pay for the stuff by giving them the paper, after that you go wait for more people to give you your stuff. I also got a phone which was hard and when I want to add more minutes I "top it off". Then we found the UK equivalent to the dollar tree!! Yes!!!

Then we went and had dinner at a coffee shop where I had a chicken penae with alfrado sause. We also had water but no ice because if you want ice in your drink you have to ask, and then I went back to the flat.

First Day!!

We unbounded the plane at 11:45 London time, and the plane food was really decent even though it was chicken! Going through customs was easy enough but there were long lines. My ride was waiting for me when I got out of the gate. When My driver and I finally got out to the car I did something really silly.

    I thought that to get out of his way so he could put the stuff in the care I would go to the right side but nae, the right side is where the driver goes!!!! anyway then there was traffic on the way to my flat but when we finally got here he dropped me off right next to the door and then I got checked in.
 
when I got up to my Flat with my stuff there where a group of girls on my floor going for phones and I wanted to try to get one but nae nae. I forgot my pin to my debit card. I finally went back to the flat and unpacked.

  We then had an orientation to show us where everything was and to show us how to get to school, although we will go to school tomorrow. Finally we had a wonderful London dinner.

As I left the Kansas City Airport one single tear fell because I was so nervous! When I arrived in Minnesota I figured where my flight was boarding, but wanted to try to get hold of my mom. I tyred to buy a global calling card, and I think they stiffed me, so then I tyred to an Internet connection I could use for a second and still no luck. I then went and bought a snack, so I could use the change to call her and I finally herd the phone ring and it went to her voicemail:((  By then it was time for me to board my plane.

Let the count down begain!!!!!!

I have packed my check in bag all except for my dental stuff and makeup. I have all my paperwork to get in the country. I have packed my travel purse, because you want a good purse that goes over your body for traveling. I need to pack my carryon bag and decide what school bag/ day trip bag I am taking.

I have also figured if I only spend up to 40.00$ a day then in the end I will have a thousand dollars to put towards a loan I had to get for this trip. I have also gotten two travel books, so that I can get up to date on where to go and what to see.

 I have looked up the lour surrounding the blarney stone and the trivet fountain, and the blarney stone is to be kissed for you to have good speaking abilities. The trivia fountain you toss a coin in to ensure to come back to Rome, so I have a plan for my grandma and mom both of you send me a coin of your choosing in a plastic bag so I do not touch it and when I go to the fountain I will drop them in and not touch them, so that you two will come to Rome too!!

I have paid for my airline ticket and my tuition and board now I have to figure out what to take. It is a fashion designers worst nightmare I will be there for 3 months but I can only take three bags!!!! What’s a girl to do!!!
