Today I was taken around by a guy that is in my classes to some of the best places to get swatches which are in Shepperd's Bush market and then he took me to Piccadilly Circus which is like a London times square. I went back to the flat and the girls were wanting to go to Piccadilly Circus and to Camden Market which is the biggest market for street fashion in the world. In Piccadilly Circus we went by a store where you can by London souvenirs called "Cool Britannia" after that the girls went to a travel agency to plan there trips to Italy and Paris. Then were were off For Camden market. There we had a fish and chips dinner and looked around to see what kind of deals we could find.

Day 7 School all Day

Me in a little more comfy outfit
for my long day!
Today is my first day of both lab classes I have Textiles this morning at 830AM and Fashion Trends this afternoon. I wont get out till 645PM. Its going to be a long day! Though I know that in Textiles I will get to knit and crochet that will be interesting!

This is a bridge that I walk under to get to
the underground for school and
it looked really pretty tonight when I got
home from school.

This is the underground station I get on to
go to school. It is called Holloway Road.

My first ever knit! that I made!!!! I think its pretty!

My second knit that I am working on now.

So my textiles class was very fun I made my first ever knit anything and it turned out pretty well! Then I had fashion trends which was kind of confusing but I already have most of my homework done. Except for the research I have to do on my collection's! I have to put together 2 collection's, one for my textiles class which will be mostly knits pieces and one for my fashion trends class which is supposed to be about what will be in next year and the years after that. I also got a little home sick:( but I am better now!;)

Day 5 First Day of school

Here's my outfit
Well it is 6:55 AM and I am dressed and off to school lets hope that I can remember how to get there!

This is a picture of the exhibits in
the main building.
This is the dinner I had lunch in its right across
from the main building.
* So I got there.I also got pictures of the school. Which is better than I can say for some of the students. Class was OK, we drew the whole time. then me and another girl took the underground home and were trying to find the art supply store that the teacher told us to go to for supplies and could not remember the name of it! finally we found someone else at AIU who was going there and followed her on the bus.

This is where I got to school I walk in those blue
doors and down some steps and I am in the studio!
We got our supplies and they went home while I needed a few more groceries a gift for my little sisters b-day, and some knitting needles for my textiles class on Wednesday. Then I also got some flat boots. Oh! and I found some Febreze!!!!!!!

While I was out I met another lady in a store that was from America (Illinois) and talked to her for a while.

I got home and went to do my laundry and figured out that I needed to put money on my laundry card before I could do it, so I went back upstairs and did that and then went and put my laundry in then I came up to talk to my mom and mike about the cultural activity's I wanted to do like : Go on a walk of all the Harry Potter sites for 8.00 pounds and there is a weekend in Scotland at Edinburgh for 190.00 pounds and you can go see Stone Henge and Bath for 52.00 pounds. Finally there is the London eye for 19.00 Pounds.

Also I still want to go to Rome for a weekend and need to figure out how much that is, and go see a play at Shakespeare globe theater, and go to the Tower of London and go to a bohemian festival her called the Camden Crawl. So much to do so little time!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh! before I do all of this I have 4-5 hours of homework already.

Day 4 Tour of London

Today we went on a tour of our surroundings so that we can get around easier. We went in the underground to St. Paul stop where our tour began. Did you know the reason that the St. Paul's cathedral was not blown up by the Germans during WW2? Its because at the top of the Cathedral there is a cross and that was used for the land mark for them to know where to go to drop bombs on London's ports.
St. Paul's Cathedral
This cross is 365 feet in the air!
This is the group that went on the tour but I do not know all
our names

After we saw St. Paul's we started down the Millennium bridge which is the bridge that is featured in the last Harry Potter movies. While on the bridge we heard about a baker who wanted to make it big, and finally got his big break. He was wanting to pull out all the stops for this cake he was searching, and saw a church and really liked the shape and that is how we got our tear wedding cakes!!
Walking up to the Millennium Bridge
The little black steeple was his inspiration

Next  We went to the south side of the Thames river to the Bad side of town this reason being when the nobles wanted to build the city they wanted their business district next to their political section next to the fashion scene but they did not want the Brothels and pubs and Theaters on that side so they put them on the south side. One of those famous theaters being Shakespeare's the Globe!!!! Next is a little food for thought:

Shakespeare's the globe
You can go have a tour
of the theater and watch
a Shakespearean play in the
setting it was meant to be seen in!

This is the Tower Bridge
The Tower of London This is One of the most haunted places in London
This is the oldest bar in London built in 1615
its called the Anchor
Another picture of it
This is the church where the man with the last name Harvard
was Baptised.
This is a dry port that London tuned into
an art center very good use of the space!
Did you know that London at first did not like the tower bridge?

Did you know that London bridge the one before the one that is there now is in Arizona in front of a casino?

Did you know that there is a pub in London that was built in 1615 and saw the Great London Fire in 1666?

Did you know that the fonder of Harvard did so because his dear friend who's last name was Harvard and who had gotten a degree at Cambridge University in London and went over to the United States and had wanted to start a school there but died a year after he got there because of Tuberculosis?
After that we walked, looked and heard about London's very interesting History. At one the tour was over and me and two other girls went home and had to get grocery's and get ready for school that starts tomorrow at 8:30 AM!!

Day 3 London Wakefield mall

This was an advertisement in the underground and I thought
what it said was interesting.

This is the BBC Television station.

This is the front of the Westfield Mall near the underground
stop of White City.

My friend Kristina and Me at the restaurant

This is the menu from our awesome lunch
at Kitchen Italia
Today we went to Wakefield mall! We had a great day going through this 4 story mall. There were very interesting stores and people and things to see.
This is what I had at the restaurant
it is potato dumplings in an asparagus
sauce.
This was Kristenas meal
 it is mac and cheese.
After we walked around the mall a while we headed home and were surprised to find out that the underground that we took to the mall was closed. We had to find a different way home which was exiting!
This is when we finally almost were home. Starting from
Me, Megan, Boa Moa, Kristena, and Rachal.
After we got back from the mall we went out for St. Patty's day and had cultural conversations with some of the locals. Did you know that people do not own guns at all here?  They also can drink at 18 but have to show ids to get butter knifes.

Day 3 Happy St. Pattys Day!

This was the drink menu it was very interesting
with shots like Clamity Jane, and Apple Jack

This is one of the manny walls at Big Red
most include very american decor.
So last night me and some of my flatmates went to a pub known as Big Red. There we had a local brew called Snakes bite. This is a full flavor logger with a 1/4 to 1/2 of the glass full with apple cider! I was good. Today we are going to Nottingham, and then we may have a pint just because it is St. Patty's Day!
